The MeteoNews application supplies detailed weather forecasts and current measurements for almost all locations in France and Switzerland as well as for all important locations world-wide.
Detailed winter sports reports for all ski resorts are available for France and Switzerland. In Switzerland, water temperatures for all lakes, rivers and open-air pools are additionally included and the water temperatures for all beaches worldwide are available.
The application contains weather video, a rainfall animation (a radar image in Switzerland, rainfall forecasts for France), the current satellite picture and numerous animated and non-animated webcams. The current weather and forecasts are shown on both a national map and diagrams of each individual station. Regional weather texts from our meteorologists are also available.
Numerous practical functions such as zoom-in on the maps, a personal Favourites list of frequently used locations and geo-localisation (iPhone) support and simplify use.

Pros and cons of MeteoNews app for iPhone and iPad
MeteoNews app good for
only for Switzerland and France.
Provides highly detailed weather reports and predictions. Beautiful satellite animations, good database of webcam.
Much more accurate for Switzerland than the weather app included with the Iphone.
Very nice application, a bit slow but good details and great functionality.
Some bad moments
the most important thing is getting the forecast correct and you guys do not have good weather forecasts. Clearly your team members gave you 5 stars but you deserve 1 for effort, minus 2 stars for price, 2 stars for coverage, -3 stars for accuracy (your weather forecasts are NOT GOOD - they were incorrect in 19 out of our 22 tests!.
until they improve this app, do not buy it - go get something for free, like the one from Baloise or the search.ch folks...
Baloise is more accurate than search.ch but Baloise only provides a Nowcast (2 hours) and search.ch gives you less accuracy but 4 hours - both are free and both a MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN THIS...
that said, webcams are cool but only on wifi and Baloise also has a bunch of webcams integrated into their forecast section
snow reports... well, you can try the Swiss Snow App instead AND IT IS REALLY GREAT... MeteoNews... what were you thinking? your App crashed on my iPhone 3GS twice today... poor quality poor, poor quality, please try again and maybe we will be here waiting for you
